We are happy to share that the STOPSTORM publication by Grehn & Mandija et al. is now available in #Europace! Current clinical cardiac radiotherapy #STAR practice highlights areas of optimization and harmonization for substrate mapping, target delineation, motion management, dosimetry, and QA. These points will be addressed in the STOPSTORM project work packages over the next four years. Dutch article: Onderzoek naar STAR-behandeling hartritmestoornissen (ICT&health)

Medicatie of ablatie biedt voor een deel van de patiënten met ernstige hartritmestoornissen – ventriculaire tachycardie (VT ) – niet de gewenste oplossing. In samenwerking met 30 partnerorganisaties in 8 Europese landen, gaan onderzoekers van het Maastricht UMC+ en Maastro daarom onderzoek doen naar een nieuwe behandelmethode: niet-invasieve radio-ablatie.
